COVID-19 cover
This policy will provide COVID-19 cover in respect of Cancellation, Curtailment and Emergency Medical and Repatriation Expenses as defined in the COVID-19 section or in the Enhanced COVID-19 Protect cover section of the policy wording (where you have paid the additional premium for Enhanced COVID-19 Protect) as summarised on our Important Information Page.

Unless you purchase our Enhanced COVID-19 Protect Cover there is no cover under any section of the policy and no trip cancellation cover as a result of the Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) changing their advice to ‘all but essential travel’ due to COVID-19.

There is no cover if you have to cancel your trip as a result of you being unable to travel due to government travel restrictions (e.g. National Lockdown or Tier Restrictions). If you decide to travel anyway, this policy will not cover you for any peril that may arise, and any subsequent claim under any section of cover in the policy will be rejected.

FCDO advice and Government Travel Restrictions in respect of COVID-19 – how this impacts your cover
Unless you purchase our Enhanced COVID-19 Protect Cover this policy will only be valid if you do not travel against the published advice of the FCDO for ‘all but essential travel in respect of COVID-19.
If the government enforce a travel restriction or the FCDO advises against all travel to a particular country, island(s) or region because of COVID-19, and you decide to travel anyway, this policy will not cover you for any issue that may arise, and any subsequent claim will be rejected.

If you want to purchase our Enhanced COVID-19 Protect Cover you will be provided with the opportunity to add this cover at Step 3 of your purchase

Pre-existing medical conditions should be declared if you or anyone to be insured under this policy would answer “Yes” to the above questions. By answering them, you confirm you have the authority and will provide complete and accurate medical information about everyone to be covered. If you are unsure of any answers please contact the person who you're answering on behalf of. If you don't declare pre-existing medical conditions, it may result in part or all of a claim not being paid.
